Vanshades provide an extensive selection of accessories for the VW campervan market, including a range of thermal, blackout privacy solutions. They’re also the home of the original and only Window Pod® blinds system. Their aim is to make your campervan ‘as individual as you are.’
We began working with Vanshades back in 2019, and in that time, we’ve refreshed designs, created a clever online customiser to make the customer journey easier, and also ramped up their social media presence to make them seen and heard by the right people.
Vanshades needed a presence that not only brought in more sales, but also enabled them to get involved with the community to create ongoing discussions and strengthen bonds with their new and existing customer base.
Vanshades requested a fresh, updated website design that reflected company values and made it easier for their customers to shop. We refreshed the overall design, complete with an online customiser tool for improved functionality and enhanced user-friendliness.
The new website design and online tool was a positive step for the brand in giving a customer the freedom and confidence to find what they need.
We utilised both Facebook and Instagram organically for Vanshades to help create a brand personality, raise awareness of the unique range of products that Vanshades offer, and to drive users through to the website. In Q1 2021, we saw huge growth to both pages. Post reach and profile visits soon reached 6 figures and is still one of our most successful campaigns.
We also ran some paid social media ads on Facebook and Instagram to complement the organic content, targeting both a cold audience and a warm audience through retargeting. In March 2021, we introduced Google Ads into our paid strategy. We started to run two Google Search campaigns for Vanshades, and so far have achieved a ROAS (return on ad spend) of 71.21.
With Vanshades, we took a lead on producing in-depth product videos and multiple points of visual social media content through video and photography. With more of a focus on the video aspect, we’ve done projects ranging from a series of videos on how to fit their products to more brand building pieces on location in the Peak District and at their base in Barnsley.
