June has already been a busy old month for the Walnut team, particularly as we kicked off the first week of the month with the highly awaited Commercial Kitchen Show!

The Commercial Kitchen Show gives manufacturers and distributors within the foodservice sector the opportunity to meet new individuals in the industry, and discover the latest innovations on the market.

The yearly event took place at the NEC Birmingham on 5th and 6th June, with five of our clients exhibiting at the show.

We had been working very closely with our clients for the past few months in preparation for the show, so obviously the Walnut team headed down to the event to get in on the action!

Throughout the course of the two-day show, there were several guest talks and seminars taking place, allowing visitors to find out more about the industry and learn new things related to catering and hospitality.

Our director, Glen, also had a spot in guest hosting a seminar, in which he hosted the ‘Exec Chef’ seminar on Tuesday, speaking about all things foodservice related.

Whilst the show was in full swing, the annual Innovation Challenge took place, in which manufacturers entered their latest products into the competition to be crowned either a Bronze, Silver or Gold title.

Three of our clients were entered into the challenge, with voting taking place on Tuesday before the awards were announced on Wednesday.

We were absolutely delighted that two of our clients managed to bag a Gold Award for their products and one claiming a Bronze Award, so naturally we were all very proud!

The Walnut team had a fantastic time at the Commercial Kitchen Show, and it was good to catch up with clients and meet new people.

We are very happy and honoured to work alongside some amazing businesses, and it was great to see our clients doing so well and showing the rest of the industry what they can do.
